Key Objectives
- To educate about the traditions, history, and teachings of the Roman Catholic church.
- To prepare for celebrating the Holy Mass through catechesis and reflection.
- To inspire prayer, reflection, and dialogue on current events, issues of interest, and Christian discipleship.
- To link to quality Catholic resources on the internet.
History
Disciples Now Ministries was formed by a group of youth ministry and faith formation professionals in Baltimore, Maryland in July 1999. DisciplesNow.com debuted at the National Catholic Youth Conference in November of that year. For eleven years, a dedicated group of volunteers and staff have provided editorial, catechetical, and operational resources for the website. Bringing experience in Catholic youth ministry, new media, and technology, many of have served as professional staff in parishes, schools, and diocesan chanceries.
