Obviously you've been thinking about evolution. Let's go with the thought of two people (which is relying on the Bible as a scientific document, you realize) being the first couple in the world. In that scenario, I would suggest that they were much alike and that differences such as racial variations occurred over a long, long time as the children moved to various locations and adapted to different weather, food and who knows what else? This is completely speculation, but not impossible to imagine.

But let's think about it this way. Whoever was first and however many there were, God instilled in them an immortal soul, which made them human. It's not contrary to biblical truth to allow for this to be so. So racial differences may have been with us from the beginning of God-created humanity, which may have begun in more than one place.

What we learn from the Bible is this: God made us, loved us and saves us. The Bible is constantly approaching these truths from various angles. The specifics are not always exactly as they sound.
